On 2 August 2024, the Eventurous team embarked on a mission to transform the event hall at Toa Payoh Safra into a spectacular setting for FirstCom Academy’s inaugural Upskilling100 Luminaries Gala Night. This prestigious occasion celebrated the exceptional achievements of the 100 Luminaries, recognising their commitment to upskilling and professional development.
Pre-event Planning
To ensure a flawless execution of this grand event, being aligned with our client’s vision was paramount. Our event planning consultants engaged in multiple thorough consultation sessions to fully understand the requirements and expectations the client has. With the necessary information, our team was able to begin the planning process, ensuring that every detail was properly addressed.
The selection of the venue was a critical aspect of our planning process. Considering the scale of the gala, the allocated budget, and the range of activities, our team conducted an exhaustive search for the ideal location. After a rigorous selection process, Toa Payoh Safra emerged as the ideal venue for this event. This was our commitment to our client when it comes to finding the perfect location that met every requirement for a seamless event experience.
With the venue secured, our design team could begin crafting event collaterals and decorations that matched the event theme. Every element was thoughtfully designed to reflect the grandeur of the event and to enhance the celebratory atmosphere. From sophisticated backdrops to thematic decor, we paid close attention to every detail that contributed to the event’s splendour.

On the day of the gala, our logistics team executed the setup with proficiency that was unmatched. The comprehensive setup process included not only the main event arrangements but also fringe activities to enrich the overall event experience. For example, we had a themed photo booth set up to allow attendees to capture their special moments from the evening.
At the same time, our production team was focused on setting up and testing audiovisual equipment to prevent any potential technical issues that could disrupt the programme’s flow.
As the night progressed and drew to a close, the atmosphere was filled with joy and satisfaction. Attendees revelled in both their individual accomplishments and the overall success of the event.
